Description
These pretty Daffodil stud earrings from Clogau, are crafted from sterling silver and 9ct rose gold, containing rare Welsh gold. Complete with sterling silver post and scroll fittings.
The origins of the daffodil as the national flower of Wales were introduced during the 19th Century by David Lloyd George, the only Welshman to serve as Prime Minister. Heralding rebirth and new beginnings, its appearance in early spring neatly coincides with St. David’s Day on March 1st.
Founded in 1992 by William Roberts, Clogau jewellery is now a second generation family business celebrating the very best of Welsh tradition with hand-finished jewellery. Each piece contains rare Welsh gold, mined from the St. David’s mine in Snowdonia, North Wales and carries the CG mark and Welsh Dragon symbol stamped during the creation as a guarantee. Rare Welsh gold has been the chosen gold of royalty for over 100 years and is traditionally used for Royal Wedding bands.
